Breakfast at Mountain Laurel Creek is all about good food served in a peaceful beautiful setting. Our dining room overlooks our flower garden and has a view of the mountains. In the warmer months we also offer breakfast outdoors on our stone patio. Begin the day with freshly brewed coffee. We feature fair trade, certified organic, shade-grown coffee from Counter Culture Coffee that is perfectly roasted and ground in our kitchen shortly before brewing.
No fried eggs, doughnuts or run of the mill pancakes …
Since our breakfasts are handcrafted specialties and never pre-packaged, to ensure the highest quality for all our guests, breakfast is served within a narrow window of 8:30 and 9:00 each morning. Breakfasts are casual events so for late risers all you need to do is roll out of bed, slip on one of our comfy robes and arrive by 9:00 to begin your day with a great meal.
Dining options include breakfast at individual tables in our dining room, outside on the umbrella covered stone patio or in the garden gazebo. For those unable to get out of bed, we also provide breakfast in your room! For early risers, all our guest rooms are equipped with in-room Keurig coffee makers. Also, coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available in the dining room after 7:30 that you are welcome to take back to your room or enjoy on the front porch while watching the birds in the garden.
We offer a fixed menu each morning that is based on each guest's dietary needs. The night before we post the morning's breakfast menu so you can see the featured starter and entree for the morning. As part of the reservation process, we confirmed with you any special dietary requirements or food allergies. If you forgot to make us aware of something please let us know as soon as possible. Please understand that we are not a restaurant but will do our best to accomodate allergies or special medical diets on short notice. So far we haven’t been stumped by vegan, diabetic, gluten-free or any other special diet! Each morning breakfast starts with orange juice, coffee or tea and fresh fruit or yogurt. Depending upon the season, we may also offer special starters using fresh vegetables and fruit from our garden. The main breakfast course will vary day-to-day between sweet and savory offerings.
We also offer champagne and mimosas for an additional charge to make breakfast even more special!

Featured in Southern Living as our signature dish. Scrambled eggs and a turkey sausage patty wrapped in phyllo dough topped with hollandaise sauce.
German Apple Pancakes
A guest favorite at MLC, sliced caramelized apples in a pancake batter baked and topped with whipped cream and maple syrup.
Farmer's Casserole
Eggs, zucchini, diced bacon, feta and swiss cheese casserole with a hash brown potato crust. Served with homemade tomato chutney on the side.
Orange and Cranberry Baked Souffle
Croissants baked in a cream cheese, orange, maple syrup and egg batter with dried cranberries.
Roasted Sweet Potato and Goat Cheese Breakfast Tart
Sweet potato, carmelized onion and goat cheese combined into a creamy quiche.
